Notes
Making a Pitcher: For a large batch, combine 1 cup of blood orange juice with 1/2 cup of lime juice, 1 1/2 cups tequila, 1/2 cup orange liqueur, and 3/4 cup simple syrup. Add everything to a pitcher filled with ice and stir well. Taste and add more syrup by the spoonful until it is sweet enough.
Simple Syrup: Combine 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup granulated sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and dissolve the sugar. Simmer 5 more minutes (to dissolve all the crystals). Then cool and store in the fridge in a sealed container for up to 1 month.
