These apple turnovers have layers of flaky fillo dough wrapped around a filling of apples and honey all flavored with warm spices.
Don't ice the turnovers too far before you are going to serve them. If you are baking the turnovers the day before, you will want to put them back in the oven for a few minutes to crisp up the fillo again. Once they are cool enough that the icing won't melt, pipe the icing over them.
