This cinnamon spiced cranberry old fashioned is a festive holiday cocktail made perfect by using bourbon soaked cranberries, orange bitters, and simple syrup.

Cranberries
2ozdried cranberries
4ozbourbon
1cinnamon stick,
Cocktail

1 1/2ozbourbon
1/2ozinfused bourbon,from the dried cranberries
1spoonfulsoaked cranberries
1-2strips orange zest
2-3dropsorange bitters
1tbspsimple syrup,or to taste
orange wedges,for garnish
Instructions
Cranberries
Add the cranberries, bourbon, and cinnamon stick to a sealable glass container. Give it a stir and let the mixture sit on the counter for 1 day.
Remove the cinnamon stick and put the cranberries in the refrigerator.
Keep up to 1 month, refrigerated.
Cocktail
Fill a glass with ice.
Add the bourbon, infused bourbon, some of the cranberries, orange zest, orange bitters. Stir the cocktail and taste.
If needed, add sugar syrup a little at a time until the cocktail is sweetened to your liking.
Garnish with orange wedges.
Notes
Bourbon Soaked Cranberries: This recipe makes 6-8 cocktails and is easily doubled.
Timing: Please note that you will need a day to steep the cranberries! Once you've made a batch they will last at least a month in the refrigerator.
Container: Use a glass container for the bourbon cranberries. This will keep the flavors clean and you don't have to worry about the plastic leaching into the bourbon.
