Simple Frozen Mango Daiquiri
Get out your blender because it's time to make your new favorite summer party drink! This frozen mango daiquiri recipe with frozen mango, ice, lime juice, simple syrup, and rum is sweet and sour and simple to make. Top with whipped cream, fresh fruit, and slices of lime.
Servings 2 drinks
- 3 oz rum
- 1 oz orange liqueur
- 2 oz lime juice
- 1-2 oz simple syrup
- 1 1/2 cups frozen mango chunks
- 1 1/2 cups ice
Add all the ingredients to a blender. (Liquid first - this helps the blender work smoothly.)
Puree on high until smooth, stopping to scrape down the blender or stir the mixture as needed.
Taste and add more simple syrup if it's too tart.
Serve immediately, garnished with lime and/or strawberries. Top with a little whipped cream for a special treat.
- Simple Syrup: To make simple syrup, combine equal amounts of water and granulated sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and let simmer until the sugar is completely dissolved. Cool and store in the refrigerator for 3-4 weeks.
- Mango: You can dice up and freeze your own ripe fruit or purchase frozen diced mango at the store.
- Ice: You need to use about half ice in this drink. It keeps the texture and the flavor balanced.
