Tangy Lime Avocado Crema
Avocados are pureed with lime juice and a touch of sour cream in this Avocado Crema. Great as a taco topping, a sauce, or a dip!
- 2 avocados
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 3-4 tbsp lime juice
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp chipotle powder
- kosher salt, to taste
Add all ingredients to the food processor.
Puree until smooth, about 1 minute.
Taste and add more lime juice or salt as needed.
Serve with tortilla chips, over tacos, or as a sauce for grilled meats.
- Other Spices: A few drops of sriracha makes a nice substitute for the chipotle powder. Or, if you have some adobo sauce on hand, that will also work to give it that little kick it needs.
- Storage: This recipe doesn't keep well. It is best shortly before serving.
