I’m mixing it up here today and I’m adding in occasional menus to the site! This will give you some ideas on how to mix and match my recipes into different celebratory meals. I’ve decided to start off the series with this Mediterranean inspired Father’s Day menu, full of Italian and Greek and other Mediterranean flavors which is sure to please the father in your life. Enjoy!

Mediterranean Inspired Father's Day Menu - Everything you need from appetizer to cocktails to dessert for celebrating Father's Day with this Mediterranean Menu. | justalittlebitofbacon.com

A little something to start the meal.

I love to start a get-together with a nibble or two, and you can’t go wrong with one that takes minutes to make, is full of flavor, and can be made ahead. Which is why I love this Roasted Red Pepper and Feta Dip!

5 Minute Roasted Red Pepper and Feta Dip - Creamy and tangy. This easy, flavorful dip is the perfect party appetizer, a great burger topper, and wonderful as a sauce for shrimp or chicken. | justalittlebitofbacon.com

Dad needs a drink!

This recipe is more American, with all that yummy bourbon, than Mediterranean but I think this Frozen Peach and Bourbon Cocktail with a Hint of Ginger is just the thing to get the party started. 🙂

The main event.

Now that we have fortified ourselves with nibbles and cocktails, it’s time to start the meal. And one of my favorite roasts to put on the grill for Father’s Day (and any other day) is my Grilled Butterflied Leg of Lamb with a Herb Rub. Both my father and my husband are fans of this recipe and I hope the man in your life will be too. Not only it is tasty, but it cooks fast and all the work is done the night before.

Grilled Butterflied Leg of Lamb - Butterflied lamb is rubbed overnight with a flavorful herb and garlic mixture and then quickly grilled for a perfect dinner. It takes just 15 minutes to bring this roast to a beautifully seared outside and medium rare inside. Great for Easter dinner or for any cookout get-together. | justalittlebitofbacon.com

Veggies. We need veggies.

A meaty main dish is great, but we need our veggies too! I do love my vegetable sides and this Caprese Salad with Burrata is a classic for a reason. Once again all the prep work can be done ahead leaving only the plating of the salad for the last minute.

Starches to complete the meal.

Personally I love me some potatoes with my meal and so do the men in my life. For them I would recommend my Extra Crispy Roasted Potatoes. I’ve finally gotten the recipe just right. This is one recipe you need to make with the meal but you can cut the potatoes ahead and keep them in cold water until you are ready to roast them.

A sweet ending.

What celebration is worthy of the name without a little something sweet to finish things off? Not this one! I have an excellent Strawberry Ricotta Crostata that the dad is sure to love.

Strawberry Ricotta Crostata - This naturally sweetened crostata is a fun and relaxed take on pie, full of fresh strawberries, creamy ricotta, and brushed with honey. | justalittlebitofbacon.com
