About

Please excuse the construction here as I get this site up and running! I’ll be adding personal photos, rearranging items, and expanding information as I go. But I really want to start sharing recipes without waiting for the site to be entirely finished.

What is this site about?

Just a Little Bit of Bacon is story of my long and abiding interest in local produce, organic meats, and all that I find to be interesting and flavorful in my journey through the culinary world. Which, of course, includes bacon. But please don’t expect bacon to be featured frequently on these pages. Bacon, as a concept, stands in for all we love but we should just have a little of, whether it be cake or chocolate or ice cream. All those treats that work best when balanced against fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meats, and whole grains.

Who am I?

I am Annemarie, the blogger behind Just a Little Bit of Bacon. I’m chief food styler, recipe creator, blog maintainer, and photographer. I’ve enjoyed cooking and designing new recipes since I was first helping my mom in the kitchen as a child. Now I share that love with my husband, Jeff, and daughter, Amanda, who are my chief tasters. I also share my life with three cats –

It’s a full house here and sometimes a full time job keeping all my four legged friends from getting their paws on the food. Though not Rose; she’s stuck in a tank looking out.
