  • 8 oz pecans
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/4 tsp ground cayenne

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Spread out pecans on a baking sheet and toast for 6 minutes.
  3. While the pecans are toasting, combine the butter, maple syrup, and vanilla in a large skillet and melt the butter over medium heat. And while butter is melting and pecans are toasting, you can also mix the sugar, salt, cinnamon, allspice, and cayenne in a large bowl.
  4. Once the pecans are toasted, add them to the skillet and cook, stirring constantly until the pecans have absorbed the butter mixture and are lightly glazed, about 2 minutes.
  5. Quickly pour the pecans into the bowl with the spices and toss it all together until the pecans are fully coated. Spread them out onto a baking sheet to cool and dry.
